Stainless UK is a BS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certified company and operates a Management System in accordance with BS ISO 14001 and BS ISO 18001. Stainless UK is also a CE certified fabricator to Execution Class 2 of BS EN 1090-2.Using the latest computer technology, CAD drawings can be quickly used to produce a wide range of precision product from Stainless UK's own extensive stock or using customers free issued material. Grades of stainless steel stocked include 304, 316, 310, 321 and Duplex steels.

In house production facilities include:

Press Braking

Stainless Uk specialise in Stainless steel Cold Formed/Pressed Angles & Channels. With three press brakes and capacity up to 400 tonnes, Stainless UK can bend stainless steel sheet and plate up to 20mm thick and in lengths of up to 4 metres. Stainless steel round bar between 6mm and 50mm diameter can be cut and bent to customer requirements on specialist machines.

Hole Punching

Punching holes is a quick and efficient method of making single or multiple holes in steel plate. The punch press forces a steel punch through the steel plate into a die below to form a round hole or slot.  Stainless UK can punch slots and holes between 6mm and 38mm diameter into stainless steel plate up to 15mm thick.

Machining

Stainless UK has a fully equipped machine shop with experienced apprentice trained staff that enables it to carry out a wide range of machining work to customer requirements.  CNC and manual lathes can produce both one off and multiple batches of turned components.  A full range of other machines allow Stainless UK to carry out milling, grinding, drilling and band sawing.Stainless UK also have a range of specialist machines that can cut and bend round bar.

Laser Cutting

Stainless UK offers Laser Cutting of stainless steel plate in sizes up to 4m x 2m and thicknesses up to 20mm.

Using the latest computer technology, CAD drawings can be quickly used to produce cut parts from Stainless UK's own extensive stock or using customers free issued material. Grades of stainless steel stocked include Grades 304, 316, 310, 321 and Duplex steels

Plasma Cutting

Stainless UK offers high definition plasma cutting of stainless steel in plate sizes up to 8m x 2m and thicknesses up to 50mm.

Stainless UK has an industry leading Hypertherm XPR 300 plasma cutter which has several notable advantages over conventional plasma cutting. The edge quality is far superior with greatly improved squareness, much reduced dross formation and a far cleaner cut. Slots, holes and or other cut outs with fine tolerances can easily be achieved using this latest technology.

Plate Shearing

Shearing is one of the oldest forms of cutting plate in straight lines but the process still survives to this day due to its simplicity and cost effectiveness. A metal sheet or plate is fixed in position on the shear and the cut is made by an upper cutting blade moving passed a lower fixed blade. This action generates a high degree of cutting force which shears the steel to produce a very straight cut edge.

Stainless UK can shear sheet and plate in thicknesses between 1mm and 20mm and widths up to 3m.

Thread Rolling

Stainless UK is a leading thread rolling company with over 20 years experience. The thread rolling process produces strong, smooth, accurate and uniform threads on round bars.Thread rolling is a cold forming process were, by passing a round steel bar through a set of rollers the thread is formed by displacing the steel. The threads are rolled onto and not cut onto the bar. No material is removed from the bar during the thread rolling process. When threads are rolled, the grain structure of the bar is not severed; instead it is reformed in unbroken lines following the thread contours. This process increases tensile strength and shear strength.Rolled threads have burnished roots and flanks giving a smoother finish free from surface imperfections which can be a starting point for fatigue failure. Thread rolling eliminates the tooling marks and chatter marks that can be found in cut threads. In high torque of high stress applications, rolled threads will give a longer service life than cut threads as rolled threads have increased resistance to stripping and will not stretch and pull in service. The cold working process of thread rolling also makes the threads more resistant to damage during handling.

Stainless UK can thread roll sizes between M12 and M100 dependant on material.

Welding

Stainless UK has over 20 years experience of welding stainless steel products. A fully equipped welding shop enables the company to carry out a wide range of fabrication work to customer requirements. We operate a welding system in accordance with BS EN 3834. Weld Procedures are in accordance with BS EN 15614 and Welder Qualifications are to BS EN 9606.

Stainless UK holds a CE welding certification to BS EN 1090-2.
